How to DJ on Fluxradio
Learning to DJ on online radio really is not that difficult and you can be up and running and streaming within about 20 minutes. All you need is to have a microphone and a decent internet connection.
Fluxradio uses Icecast as a streaming server. People click or open a URL of the stream within their media player like Winamp or VLC media player to listen to whoever is djing. There are other players like XMMS for people running Linux/BSD etc, however we will not get in to that at this stage as it far more complex and we are assuming most people will be using Windows.
As there is no point in trying to reinvent the wheel, the easiest guide to setting yourself up to stream is to read this tutorial HERE
Once you have completed the above, you will have to undertake a few other steps and we will then provide you with details of how to log in, once certain criteria's are met and a schedule has been agreed.
Other tutorials will be coming soon for those people using Open Source systems Linux/BSD.
